The side mirror has melted on my Subaru Outback for the 2nd time. The mechanics are saying that its burning from sunlight reflected from buildings but I feel like its a mechanical defect. Have you had other complaints?

OMG I've been looking for other people who have had this problem. I have had 3 mirrors replaced thus far and Subaru refuses to take responsibility for the issue. I would love to get your info so I can include your name in my correspondances because I am fighting with them right now to replace the drivers side door because I have had three mirrors melt. I think water is getting into the door and short circuiting a wire which is creating intense heat that goes up the neck of mirror and melts it as well as the casing around the mirror.
