What's the longest someone's gone before timing belt change?

I'm sitting at 88k in my '00. Original belt as far as I know. Renovating the house right now and fund-age is tight...

Car is also due for annual safety inspection but I think that will be ok as tires, brakes, etc. are all in good shape.

How far am I pushing it?? Car is totally stock.

I went 100k on a 2.8L 30V ATQ engine. At that mileage, the belt looked fine, but the water pump was

starting to bind up. Rarely the belt itself that goes first; typically one of the rotating items craps out and then kills the belt which kills...well, you know the outcome.

I changed at 60k miles and 7 years, 2 months. Everything associated with the TB looked fine, but my nerves were starting to fray.

mine was changed at 100k right after I bought it and it still seemed okay,

but I dont recommend waiting that long. But then again after I changed it, it only lasted about 30k MIRACULOUS miles since I dropped a hose clamp in there and it chewed it up pretty good (doh) Thanks to Mike at WMS, my engine is still running!

I'm sitting at 84k on the original Timing Belt...

Getting kind of nervous though, I want to replace it myself to save $$, but I just don't have the time.

Probably going to cave in and pay to get it done in the next week or two just to calm the nerves.

edit, car is completely stock as well..
