I 100% agree...

I've yet to hear a case where K04's were running for something like 20K miles and just blew. It's always "I just installed my K04's and they blew within 5K! WTF!"

I have 30K on my KO4s. I make them scream sometimes too.

As Josh said below. People taking on this job unprepared or unexperienced

Just because there's a good tech article on it, doesn't mean that anyone can just do it. There's a lot more to it than a tech article.

I like this thread - what are the top (pick a number) installer errors? Keep 'em coming.

As someone who dreams of tackling this as a DIY job someday, I'd rather experience installer errors vicariously before I get to them myself.
