Default Diff Sound?

Hey guys....new S7 owner here. I have noticed a particular sound that seems like it's coming from the rear. It seems to happen when making a sharper turn at very low speed (parking lot driving) Best I can explain it is it sounds almost like a low bass note from the stereo or deep exhaust resonation but goes away when the turn stops. Anyone else encounter this? not sure if it's a characteristic of the sport diff or something else. Thanks!

Is this your first quattro car? They all do it, it's the nature of the system - the center differential can only slip so much, so you get a little "crabbing" on tight turns on grippy surfaces.

no sir. It's my 3rd one actually. Just traded in a Q7 for this one. I should have clarified. I know what that AWD chatter is like. I can feel that in the steering wheel and it can feel the wheels jump a little bit. The noise I'm talking about seems to only be coming from the rear. This is more of a low frequency hum like a deep bass note or something. Hell it could be exhaust resonation but I'm sure its still AWD drive or diff related.....just wasn't sure if this was something different. maybe it is the "crabbing" but the sound may resonate differently in this car??

Ah.. I've never noticed it specifically with sport diff cars, maybe that's enough difference.. or tire profile/compound..
