Gtechniq

When I was in the shop the other day where I had my clear bra installed they were showing me 2 cars that had the Gtechniq "wax" system applied to the car and it looked awesome. He showed me how the water beads right up and disappears. He claimed that this stuff lasts many years unlike regular detail waxing of the car. They can also use it on the wheels and glass and he says it works right over the top of the clear bra as well. The estimate was for about $800 or so for the whole car exterior including the wheels and glass. Like many of you who have the S7 I am getting brake dust caked on my rims very quickly. He says it will just wash off with a hose with this product on the rims.
Anyone who has used these products and have opinions??

Look at the "2013 quartz grey delivered "thread down the list a bit. I just ordered a bunch of it for the S7 I am literally on the way to pick up.

supposed to be great stuff.

There's no way it will last "several years" without maintenance however.

I was just thinking of the same thing too. However, I am still a die hard 50% or better carnauba (SwissVax) wax guy and relish the effort to get the detailing done twice a year. The Gtechniq approach will be great if you don't enjoy or have the time to detail yourself. But like clintb said, I really don't think it is maintenance free.
