I am wanting to replace the default dealer's plastic license plate frame.

Any suggestions where to get some nice frames? Seems to be lots of options on ebay...


What types of frames go well with a black car? Chrome, stainless steel, carbon, etc.

Not sure, but it's good quality...had it on for over 3 years and still looks like new.

On my dark blue A6 I went with a slimline stainless steel in black for the rear and a smoked polycarbonate cover for the front both purchased off Amazon and I am very happy with the look.

I went minimalist with the Audi Slimline license plate frame with Audi rings - Polished. To me they were just "clean" looking.

I just use this simple black rubber frame from Pep Boys on all of my cars. Here it is on my previous car.

I used a pair of slim black, stainless steel frames with screws and caps. I bent the front one a bit to follow the contour of the plate holder.
