Default Pre 11+ TT. Hows it compare to 11+?

Asking again. I have seen the used mk TT 08-10 for great prices.
I want a TTS but still hi teens. 11+TT are the same.

Ultimately look is the same TT/TTS minus thinsg you can add.

Anyone tune the pre 11 2.0 base TT? How does it respond compared to the TTS/or 11+

can it be made with bolt ons, IC, chip, exhaust to run 12s?

I've chipped and modded all my TT's, but I never got them to the level of my greatly missed 2009 TTS. Just the chip for the TTS made it so quick and through the entire RPM range! I looked for a TTS prior to my current and couldn't find anything as well taken care of with low mileage as this was, clean and after 8 years only 42k miles. My only gripes were a worn drivers seat and curbed wheels. When life gives you lemons... made those wheels my winter wheels and continued detailing on the seats stopped it from getting worse. Continue the hunt for a TTS and maybe you'll find a great TT along the way.

Thanks for the post. So the mk2 TTS alone, stock, was quicker then any of your modded TTs? I assume these were all pre 11 TT? We're all your TT Quattro too? The TTS is only Quattro correct?

So what do you have now? I have seen Quattro TT around 15k for 80k miles
Most TTS are around 19k or more

I now have a 09 TT 3.2L DSG Quattro Coupe. I have 58k miles on it now. Bought with 42k miles last March for $25k. Like I said before, very well maintained. Sahara silver on black/brown premium leather. All I plan on doing to this car: cat-back exhaust, struts/shocks and maybe springs, fog light bulbs, Haldex chipped. All ready have done rotors, pads, SS brake lines, K&N filter, yellow/orange DRL bulbs and had the haldex fluid changed. I've got the set of blue LED replacement bulbs for the full interior, but haven't found time to install. I searched listing 'LISTINGALLCARS' dot com but only found a couple of TTS's. because my car is a daily driver, I was focused on a low miles used car. I put on 500 miles a week easy. If you can find a good TTS, that's the way to go. IMHO

Nice ride. Why did you sell your TTS then?
Is the 3.2 faster stock to the TTS?

$$$, It sucked while gas prices climbed, but when gas prices hit $4.50, it was like I was bleeding money at 500+ miles a week(M-F). I was only getting 18mpg on average. Besides the miles, I was sitting in heavy traffic too.

I ended up buying a new 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo 6 speed in matte gray paint from the factory. It was a hoot to drive and got about 30mpg's when I behaved. Lots of upgrades on that little toy and my 1st matte colored car.
