Default 2017 A3 LED headlights vs Xenon

For those of you that have the new LED headlights, how do they compare to the std Xenon headlights. Trying to decide if they are worth the extra money. I am planning to order a 2017 prestige plus sedan, tango red.

I assume these are LED headlights, not the matrix LED headlights that are on the more expensive Audi's.

Thanks!

Personally, I love the new LED headlights and would pay the extra money again for the upgrade. The dynamic turn signals are a nice tough too.

On the pre-facelift model, the LEDs were much worse than the Xenons. Don't know about the 2017 LEDs as they have not been tested by IIHS yet.

IMO, the (regular) LEDs are superior to the Xenons I had on my A3 TDI.

I think the LEDs on my 17 are awesome...but I'm coming from a '93 Mercedes 500E and 06 Duramax. Almost any 2017 cars lights would be an improvement!!

They are - according to my sticker. LED headlights are in the standard equipment column.

We just didn't know if matrix LED headlights are even available on the '17 A3/S3. I don't believe they are.

I think the 2017 are standard xenon with led day time running lights.

the matrix led is an option to premium plus and standard on prestige trims.

I, myself have an A3 E-Tron prestige model and just absolutely love the full led matrix headlight. Everything about is just so clear and love how the color temps of the headlights and daytime running match perfectly. I don't get heads turning during the day but I definitely get them during the night.

They are worth it; my girlfriend just picked up her ordered A3 a month ago and they are clear white and bright. They're about 5500K according to Audi unlike HID's which are closer to 4300K. Long term, worth the upgrade.

That's awesome. You see them adjust at night with oncoming cars or pedestrians?
