Default Adding Automatic Lights

well I made the mistake of not knowing the car did not come with automatic headlights. I know it's not hard to turn on lights but come on, I haven't owned a car in 20 years that does come standard with auto headlights.

Is this any easy add on? I see the switches on eBay for about $60 I am assuming there is more to it?

Well that is no good, I would assume the sensor is in the windshield behind the rear view mirror?

What year Q5?

I thought all Q5's came with Auto-lights position on headlight switch from at least 2013 on, at least in the USA.

What model - Basic, Premium, Premium Plus, etc.?

Halogen or Xenon headlights?

Does your headlight switch have an Auto position?

In 2013 all USA models came with Auto-headlights, Canada has their own specs.

It's basic no sunroof, has LED lights, and Bi Xenons. It's a Canadian car. No Auto position. It doesn't even have an automatic dimming mirror? I couldn't believe it.

If it requires a new rearview mirror I would purchase one as well. As the current mirror is not auto dimming. I see lots
of people on A4 and A5 are able change the rear view
mirror.

It requires a new windshield because the rain/light sensor mounts within the mounting point of the auto dimming rearview mirror. If rain/light sensors was spec'd on the vehicle, the auto dimming rearview mirror was part of the package. Like I said, its a lot of work.
