Can I disable courtesy lights at night?
I don't have a Q7 Prestige yet, but very close to making a purchase. As a night sky photographer, it is important that when I shoot a time lapse sequence of the night sky over many hours that when I open car doors lights do NOT turn on.
My old 2003 Acura MDX allowed me to disable ALL lights from automatically turning on when car doors were opened by flipping a switch on the dashboard. Does the Q7 have someway to disable the courtesy lights when doors are opened.
I couldn't disable lights on my newer 2014 Acura MDX so I had to cover lights with duck tape which as a hassle.
thanks in advance for comments,

Yes, I believe you can (I have not tried it) because the functions exist. You can turn off, Entry / Exit lights which will turn off doors and interior (and pathway?) I believe. You can turn off interior ambient lighting, and you can turn off the day time running lights.
These are all individual settings in the Q7 so you will have to turn them off one at a time but they should stay off once set. There are so many darn lights these days that its hard to say if there are any others LOL.

As BigKutta says, there are a bunch of controls in the MMI that you will need to turn off. You can control whether the interior lights come on when a door opens with the button on the overhead console:
