Default Great MPG

😀😀😀😀Another reason I love my A6 3.0T.

Four people full full trunk and still getting this mileage from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg.

Hate to be that guy but you should know better than taking your hands off the wheel to take a picture while driving. Especially going 65mph!

My wife took the photo and I posted this photo a good 7 hours after I got to my destination.

If that is true, still not the safest thing to do but you also could've waited until stopped and taken the pic?

No , sometimes seeing the mileage is so exciting that one simply can't wait...this thread reminded me a pictures I took early on in my ownership. I now have 37,000 miles on the car.

Yes, my daughter scolded me....

Not sure how safety is at risk when someone takes a picture of the dashboard while car is in motion.

Guys are you serious? Whats not safe about it? Since when is ****ing around on your phone while controlling a 4000 pound projectile safe?? It's illegal in most places for a reason, the stats show that distracted driving now accounts for more traffic deaths than drunk driving, guess what those people were distracted by? I can't believe so many people think it's not a big deal to endanger others with their behavior, I can't even count the amount of times I've seen people not pay attention, swerve and almost cause accidents because of messing with their phones! It really doesn't matter if you're just trying to take a 'quick pic' or typing an email. If you think that's normal you're part of the problem.

Getting back on topic, I find it very impressive that a 3.0T A6 can average 34 mpg for 3.5 hours at an avg 58 mph and that it only turns about 1600 rpm at 65 mph. My manual trans S5 sure won't do that. That has to be a nice highway cruiser!
