Default Winter Tires

Suggestions for winter tires for the S3.... drive a lot for work. A lot of hwy, and a lot of snow belt areas, but also street too.

Have you looked at Tire Rack yet? They have a ton of selection and you can look at reviews from people who actually own the tire. They also offer tire/wheel packages where they mount and balance the tires on rims you selected and then ship them directly to your home, office, or place where you are going to have them installed. their website is www.tirerack.com.

kell-ness; I have the 19 inch wheel/ summer tire / mag ride package for my S3. Live in Ohio. Ordered a winter wheel and tire package from Tire Rack soon as I got the car. Opted for 18 inch rims and Dunlop 4D winter performance tires. The Dunlops work perfect for the non snow days and have great rain traction but work very well on days with snow. Central Ohio is not like upstate New York and I didn't want a hard core full time winter/snow tire. Dunlop is between a good all season tire and the a hard core snow tire. Quite sporty when the roads are clear but work great in the snow. Being on separate rims, makes the seasonal change out very easy.

I've got a set of new wheels (18") and Michelin Alpin PA4. Absolutely love the tire as it saved me from a heavy snow in the first day of my job lol + Audi's Quattro of course.
