Default RaceChip or ECU Tuning?

Was wondering if anyone here has any experience with any Chips or ECU Tunes for the Q7 Engines...

You'll have to get a chip. There are no available tunes. I don't expect a tune for the 4M for probably another year, since it is not in high demand.

APR does proper ECU tune but it's not available for MKII Q7 yet

I have the Racechip Ultimate S, which at the time was $899 (got it on sale for $791). Now there's a GTS Black version that's supposed to increase HP/torque even more. The difference isn't overwhelming, but my 2017 pulls harder and has made it more enjoyable (to me) to drive.
I'm probably going to buy the GTS Black for our new 2018 allroad.

Is there any lag from the responsiveness when you accelerate(in all drive modes)? I had a ChipwrekePRO performance chip on my SQ5, which had a .5sec lag when I accelerated. There were also times where the chip didn't kick in until around 3000rmp, which made it feel like turbo lag.

Its funny. The GTS black power is the power of what the ultimate was now the ultimate puts out less power

So, I wouldn't quite call it lag, but I do agree that the powerband increase IS more noticeable from 3000-4800rpm+. I think it's an improvement across 2000-5300rpm, but again I can understand your impression of turbo lag. Stock engine is very linear.
