Default 2018 map update seems out

I just logged into myAudi, and it seems that the '2018' map update (rather than the '2017/2018' from May) is now available. Will try to download it shortly.

Can you post a link? I logged into myAudi and I cannot find the maps link.

It's in the 'Audi Connect' section... but now it seems to like telling me "Vehicle is not connect-capable" and so the link is gone. (I had tried to find it on a different computer that has an SD card reader... oops)

And now I managed to get it to show up again, but when I click on 'prepare package' it says service not available...

All I see in the Audi Connect section is how to buy more months of AudiConnect. I do not see any links which could possibly be linked to map updates. You are in Canada so the web page may be different but if you do find it again please either past a link or provide a path of links to follow.

I believe it's in the Audi Connect section in the US too, but... there's something very wrong with that web site. Maybe 9 times out of 10, if I go to the Audi Connect section, it gives me that error (my car not being equipped for Audi connect) I posted above. I presume your car has the Audi Connect hardware and that's why you get an option to buy more months. Roughly once out of 10, it gives me the map update download (which then seems to fail). I cannot currently find a sequence of things to click on that consistently displays the map update link.

i can get to the site without any problem. As soon as I chose download entire map update and hit begin, it comes up with Error, Service Not Available. I imagine they are still getting it set up. A few more days wont be a big deal.
