European headlights that are a direct replacement would appear and behave the same as North American headlights. The taillights feature an orange turn signal which when properly provisioned with VCP (Vag Can Pro) is not longer tied to the brake light, meaning the brake light will not blink with the turn anymore. Can you clarify, excluding Matrix LED, is there a difference in LED headlights between US and Euro markets?

The standard North American and European LED will appear the same. The Q5 has the orange side markers in the bumper so it's not inside of the headlight like on some other models. With that said almost always the beam pattern of European headlights is superior to the North American lights with a sharper cutoff and more focused light. Most people want the dynamic turn signal up front and that's only available with matrix headlights.
