I'm shopping for an A6 with Adaptive Cruise Control. Many listings don't mention the "innovation package." Is there an easy way to tell visually, or otherwise (VIN? ) whether a car has Adaptive Cruise? Thanks!

I'm looking for a 2012-2016 model, but would consider a 2011 as well (earliest year that I am aware of that offers adaptive cruise.) I've tried to educate myself about audi options and packages, but I haven't figured out whether a switch or **** is an obvious physical indicator, or whether there's a particular trim level that is required before the innovation package is available. Thanks for any help!

If you're only looking for adaptive cruise, that comes in the Driver Assistance package, which is available on all 3.0T cars. Innovation Package adds things like night-vision and Head up display, and is available only on Prestige cars.

To point them out easily, look for the radar domes in the lower bumper grills for adaptive cruise control, and you can see the head up display module on the dash.

Even on the 2018 A6s Driver Assistance a $2,000 option and very few cars in dealer's inventory have it.

Cars equipped with the adaptive cruise control have sensors in the lower grills. Many people mistake them for fog lights.
