Default Will audi put a new engine in the Q7?

Hi all,
Just want to chat. The 3.0 supercharged drives very smoothly, but this engine has been used for a decade.
I am curious will audi put the turbocharged engine on 3.0 in the next facelift for Q7, like the new S4 engine
Does anyone have any thoughts?

I don't know, but that supercharged engine is great no matter how old it is.

I bet they drop the SC V6 and go with the new turbocharged V6 at sometime.

I think so, but I hope audi not do that too soon. Otherwise, I can't help to trade in and get the new one , LOL

I think the 3.0 is awesome, if they do come out will a new engine I would definitely give it a couple of years before I bought it to make sure any bugs are worked out.

Agreed, I had a 2005.5 B7 with the new 2.0T, engine was solid, but the fueling and evap had tons of issues.

I have a feeling the SC V6 we see now in the 3.0T gets replaced around the midlife refresh. Which is probably 2-3 years away.

I think that would be the only time to make some minor changes and then one big change like the engines offered. I know BMW and MB sort of follow this model and it might even be a universal method for rolling out a change as big as the engines offered.

IMO if they were to change the engine I don't think it would be during a mid model change.. Just my two cents...

Yes they will, in 1-2 years or so I am sure. But honestly, I'm not a big fan of the turbo charged engines. I still miss the days of the naturally aspirated engines in BMWs (alas, no more). This is one of the reasons I'd rather go for this supercharged engine with Audi. Doesn't have the same feel as a turbo

Since this thread is all about dreaming: I wish there will be an option to get a diesel-hybrid drive vehicle - even if a pre-2015 Q7 3L diesel engine will be used in such a hybrid version.
