Default 2018 Prestige quattro good deal?

Can't find the pricing thread so starting a new one. I've got a dealer quote for a 2018 Prestige AWD Brilliant Black w/ Cold Weather Package. It will be a custom order so no other options. The price is $46,900, and OTD it is $49,000. Is this a good price? I'm tempted to wait to see what the MY2019 has.

Can’t tell you without knowing the MSRP. Orders for 2018 Prestige A4s were closed couple of weeks ago unless this is a car that is already in transit.

MSRP is $51,745. I'm not sure how he gave me this build quote because other dealers were saying 2018 orders were closed. I'm in Charlotte, NC.

Anything at 10% MSRP or better is a GREAT deal.

I purchased two Audi’s at the same time with my other half- one on the lot, a Q5, and a custom ordered ‘18 prestige A4 for me. Got 6.5-7% off of each which is a good deal in the Washington/Baltimore market. So I would say you made out well. 2019’s are around the corner so that’s perhaps why.

Before or including Audi's incentives?

I never negotiate the MSRP. I find out the invoice price and work from there.

How do you find that out and what is a good price?

The 2019's will not be discounted when first released, especially if they are indeed facelifted. Now (summer) is the time to buy the current model year. Learn invoice and rebates from Edmunds.com and truecar.com. Try to keep it well under invoice at this stage in the game. The more expensive models should be discounted more than the base ones.
