Default OBDeleven WiFi questions

I am considering buying the dongle so I can use the apps to customize the car, however, I知 not really in a position where I can have access to my car AND strong wifi(iPhone user so I知 going to use a cheap android tablet...no data plan). Any suggestions? Can I connect everything and then run inside to the WiFi and make the changes assuming the Bluetooth is within range?

thanks

Set your iPhone up as a wifi hotspot (relying on LTE / 4G on your iPhone), and have the android connect to your iPhone's wifi hotspot.

Perhaps not applicable in your scenario, but if a WFi extender would work, then the current Wire Cutter pick (TP-Link RE200) is ~$28. I personally have one and it works well for me. Good luck!

Ok, both very good options. Now another question for you. I see some people state that they get faults or errors in the dashboard when they make changes. I am assuming they are long coding?

Using the the built in one-touch applications that come with the app should result in seamless/worry free changes is that correct?

I've only used obdeleven once to show the current gear that the transmission has selected, but it worked for me without issue.
