Better for chip tuned or stage 1.
more info from web:
"The R8 coilpack is an OEM upgrade for the original coilpacks on your VW/Audi equiped with the FSI/TSI motor!
Mainly in the tuning scheme of things, people begin to notice misfires while using OEM coilpacks. At this stage we recommend upgrading to R8 coilpacks which remove this issue!
These coilpacks come factory on some high power output Audi cars, as the name suggests, the Audi R8!
1) These coils can be used on your FSI/TSI engine at ANY level of modification. They function just as well on a dead stock car as a highly modified one.
2) They are NOT the same coils with red housings. The secondary circuit on the R8 coils has a higher resistance than stock!
3) The R8 Coilpacks have a higher resistance than factory and thus produce a better, hotter spark
Stock: 3.3 M ohms
R8's: 5.31 M ohms

My original coilpacks didn't have any part number printer on the top of them(see below).
I went for a set of red (faster of course) Bosch coilpacks as I read nice reviews, mechanic gave me his thumb up and they were on sale on shopdap. My car is 87K km now and never had coilpacks replaced, so I bit the bullet and swallowed the marketing pill, along with a fresh set of spark plugs and revised DV valve. I'll take a picture of the engine bay later today.

Those eldors look similar to my reds though they were sent in a shoe box waiting for the NGK to arrive. Thanks.

This is how the engine bay is looking now, pretty fast with those red coilpacks
And yes, I need to detail this engine, I'm pretty sure it's never been cleaned, and it's 9 years old now.
