Audi Care opinions
I'm just about to click over my 1year anniversary of ownership, and I believe I have to pick up the Audi Care plan before then, correct? I'm on the fence considering I don't usually keep cars for 5 years or more - it's usually more like 3. With the first service paid for (the one I'm about to go in for), I'm not sure I'll be getting enough value out of the Audi Care. Does anyone know how much the 20/30/40k services tend to cost without the plan? If the 20 and 30k service together were $500-600, I'd probably jump on it just on the chance I'll keep the car longer, and the modest value to resale.
Would love some opinions from others facing this decision.

I just took mine in for the 1 year / 10,000 mile service and my service advisor told me if I want to purchase Audi care, just call him anytime up to 24 hours before the 20,000 / 2 year service and he can add it and then schedule the appointment the next day once it is in their system. Not sure all dealerships follow that, but I decided to just wait until next year.

I'm thinking of doing the same but would like to know what the cost will be for the following 4 service visits 20k, 30k, 40k, 50k. I read there is no trans flush in these so I'm not sure what they're doing other than oil changes whish are $80-100 at my dealer so $400 on the high side. Anybody know what the later service visits cover?
Coming from a Porsche they detail every little piece of each service, I'm surprised Audi is so vague with documentation.

Quite honestly, looking at the chart below, I at a loss as to what you find “vague”
It it looks pretty cut and dried to me. However, YMMV.

I asked my service advisor about the cost. She printed invoices for the 20k, 30k, 40k, and 50k services. Well over $1000.
And price increases don’t matter, it’s prepaid.
A no-brainer for me.
Note: it covers brake fluid but brake pads and rotors are not covered, as they are considered “wear” items.

It was a no brainer for me. Audi Care for our cars will cover 4 oil changes, 1 spark plug replacement, 2 brake fluid flushes, 2 or 3 engine air filters and cabin A/C filters, all the inspections AND resetting the service light which will require a VAG device or Audi computer to reset. So even though I love to do my own service at the house, I decided to go with Audi on the Audi Care for this car (Plus I have a really awesome dealer close to me who I trust to work on the car).

It makes sense if you are going to take your car to the dealer for all of these services. However, the included services are just four oil changes and two brake fluid changes (Nearly anyone can easily do the engine air filter and cabin air filter changes for around $75 total), which would cost roughly $500-600 total at the indy dealer I use. However, it could be argued that the extra $300-400 is worth it for the use of a loaner car during each service. If Audicare covers the 40k DSG service, it definitely makes sense for the A5.
