Default Google Earth not working

Anyone else have this problem? Google map loads 90%, then stalls out.

Nope. Weird. Try resetting the MMI?

This.

Don't pay the subscription fees.

And the earth view through carplay is much nicer!

I've had that occasionally, but usually works. I just put it down to the quirky, intermittent nature of Audi Connect, which to date still seems to be an unfinished application.

So I rarely plug in my phone into the Q to activate carPlay, but this is a reason to. Do I need to do something in iPhone or MMI to get the Google Maps icon on the MMI or is it automatic with the latest ios?

iOS 12 allows the use of non-Apple services like Waze and Google Maps. I think you should be able to select the app from the screen once the phone is plugged in.

I use Android Auto and the "default" settings for GM on my phone was the non-satellite view. I think it's called Terrain? You can go in to the Maps settings and select "Satellite" to be the default view so you get the Google Earth view on your MMI screen. It will not show up on your Virtual Cockpit, though, like the Audi Connect trial version did. Also, I don't think it shows traffic updates on Android Auto unless you have a destination entered. I could be wrong and there could be further settings that fix this but I don't think I see traffic slowdown unless I have entered a destination.

Have the same thing. Mine worked fine from day one....then my 6 month trial was about to end so I got the audi connect service (I know don't judge) two weeks before my free trail expires. I validated with Audi that my service was up and running and all was good UNTIL the trial expired!!!!!

I have call AudiConnect numerous times and have taken it to my dealer and they can't understand why it's not working. Tried all the resets, etc. I suspect that I would have to enter the key number that I threw away when I activated it on the 1st day. Audi says I don't need that BUT I have shown them the screen that says my device is not assigned to any key. Figure it's a bug....or feature. Will update on what they tell me and would ask all to update on this post as well.

YES we are troubleshooting software BUGs for AUDI/AUDICONNECT! Not a good start!!!

Have you tried downloading a map update on the website and updating your vehicle?
