Audi Prepping Facelift 2020 Q7 With New Grille And Headlights
Hey all,
I think it's fun to discuss this a bit here. I came across this today and didn't notice any thread talking about it - 2020 Q7. There are also other reports (not in English) saying the drive train will come standard with a 48V mile hybrid or mHEV system like the one just came out with A8. Post your thoughts and comments here

The two large sensors in the grill looks interesting. They seem to be the LIDAR units but having 2 of them is odd.
I am guessing it will be another 2-3 years easy before US regulations catch up with autonomous driving, where those sensors would become useful so I will likely still go with my 2019 order instead of waiting for 2020 as the delta tech wise doesn't seem that large comparing a 2019 Q8 vs 2019 Q7. I am not a big fan of the new dual screens either.

While the current Audi MMI and tech in the Q7 is great, others have really upped the ante (BMW's new iDrive 7.0). So, I'm betting that Audi will at least try to level or better the tech in the facelift model. Exciting times ahead!

keeps sound down inside the cabin, keeps back of the vehicle cleaner, and, if the car is running and you are loading/unloading things from the trunk, no complaints from people that their pants/ankles smell like car. When Audi began implementing them, this was what the surveys of existing customers said at least.
When I first saw it on the SQ5 vs the previous gen, I was "meh" on it...the quad tips looked great on the first gen. But, I've now gotten over it, as it's really a tiny thing, and, aftermarket solutions exist, or, it's an easy thing for any custom exhaust shop to do if someone is so inclined

IDK why it's not up on the site yet, but, cars are at dealers now, and, the build guide with pricing is posted, plus the dealer has all the info. I just did a build yesterday for someone, for example.

If Audi still has the 2018s up after New Years, I may just lose confidence that they can repair or maintain my car if they can't tell what year it is....
