Default 18 Q5 driver side door rattle

Has anyone had annoying rattle coming from driver side door when going over a bump? It sounds as if something is loose and hitting the door inside. Another possible related issue is when window is going down it makes unusual noise as if something is impeding the movement. When window is going up it sounds normal. I can also hear creaks from near door frame which I think is coming from window rubbing against the seal. I plan to spray some dry silicone to see if it helps. When pushing on the window I can replicate similar sound.

This is 2018 CPO Q5 we just picked up yesterday with only 8700 miles on the odometer. Yes I can make an appointment to get it looked at, but just don’t have time now with busy work schedule.

Thank you,

Unless you're interested in pulling off the door card, the answer is simply gonna be to just take it in. Rattles seem to be somewhat common on these unfortunately. I just had my Sunroof frame replaced due to rattles

My front passenger window started failing to go down flush with the door, and made a funny noise going back up. The dealership fixed it by replacing the regulator (I think) and said it was a known problem.

Now that you mention it, there's a TSB for the window regulators. Bring it by the dealership. I think it was related to the operation of the switch, but could have something to do with rattle

I sprayed DuPont Teflon Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant Aerosol Spray inside rubber door trim and it eliminated 50% of noise. Think it was window rubbing against door trim under certain condition, which I was able to replicate by pressing on window.

There's a lubricant that keeps popping up on here from time to time that everyone swears by. I want to say it's some Japanese stuff. Anyone have an idea what I'm thinking of?

I've seen people mention Shin Etsu -
Genuine Honda 08798-9013 Silicone Grease Genuine Honda 08798-9013 Silicone Grease

It's on my list but it's expensive, I'm waiting until Spring when I clay, paint the dings, wax, and otherwise obsess.

Ah, heck. Just bit the bullet and ordered it. Insurance for keeping all the rubber seals in good shape. Now there's only 10 left in stock

You have paid for a CPO Audi, and their warranty is very comprehensive. Back to the dealership!

Dupont dry silicone only lasted a day. Noise is back. I just ordered Honda silicone grease from Amazon. If it does not work I will go to the dealer next.

Want to fix it myself if possible as nearest dealer is 30 miles away.
