Anyone experience problems with their transmission? I was going 65-70mph on the highway yesterday, and the RPMs were like over 4000 and so basically the car didn’t want to upshift. I had to put it into manual, shift it up to 7th gear manually (I think it had been stuck in 4th or 5th) and then slap it back into automatic which returned it to normal operation. I have 63k miles on the car.

You probably had it in sport (S) mode. I drive my 2014, 2.0T on I80 and I81 at about 75 mph and it usually is in 7th gear while in S mode. I need to get to about 80 mph to shift into 8th gear. Next time I take a drive I'll see what gear I'm in at 65-75 mph.

If you have VCDS, etc. you can activate the display to know what gear you are in when in D or S mode.

Thanks, but I definitely was not in sport mode. That was the first thing I looked at. I’m thinking now about possibly changing the ATF and ATF filter to see if that addresses the problem. They can check for a ATF leak too while they’re under there.
