Satellite view keeps defaulting back to regular map
Does anyone have an issue with the google satellite view defaulting back to regular after a few days? Its happening on my brand new car. No idea why. Sometimes after a day, sometimes it last 3 days.

I'm thinking it's after you download a certain amount of data. I wouldn't be surprised if it something they do on purpose to limit how much data your LTE connection uses, since Audi is paying for it. I'd be curious to know if it's the same in European cars, as European data plans are FAR more generous.

Yea, I'd have this happen to me every so often prior to my Audi Connect trial subscription ending. It would usually go back to satellite after a few minutes. I never looked to much into what it was happening, just figured it took some time to upload the satellite images depending on signal where I was located.

It does happen to me and it's the only issue with my car so I have not brought it in yet but I will. There are times where I'm not getting satellite images because of a poor connection so I'm not concerned about that. What I'm concerned about is when I don't have satellite images and I look at the Map Display setting and it has changed itself to Standard, that setting should not change on its own.

Sometimes it goes off on when when I leave it with maps displayed on the virtual cockpit but NOT displayed on the centre screen.
When this happens, I found just switching the centre screen to maps for a moment will correct it for both screens.
It does look like a small software bug. Software is complicated so you might be seeing a different one :-)

US here and I have this issue as well, seems random. I go into the settings and the map display has gone back to standard. I have to manually change it back to satellite.
