Default Location of Front Side Marker Light

I was driving my 2017 Q7 and the car popped up with a message saying " Front Left side marker light defective"
It did shows a picture of the front left headlight but looking at both lights I cant tell what light it actually is. I thought it's The little yellow light on the corner but that's working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can disable that with OBDEleven or VCDS.

Just got the same message today in my 2017 Q7. Pretty annoying. Did anyone ever figure this out?

Seriously? What are the odds that THREE forum members got the same error message on the SAME DAY?

I would check out the amber rectangle in front of wheel well. Not sure why headlight area is highlighted. Side marker is typically on the “side” of the car.

I scanned the internet for bulb replacement instructions, in case that's all it is. Nothing for the Q7, but some videos for other Audi's and VWs that show that the side marker bulb can be accessed by simply pushing in on one end of the lens while gently prying loose the other end. I wonder if those instructions work for the Q7 as well.
