Default Sold the Old A6 for a Unicorn S6 Wagon

Recently sold the A6 2.8 FSI and purchased S6 Avant.
The unicorn we couldn't get in the states, but now that I'm in Europe: the forbidden fruit is mine to reap!

So far I catch myself staring at the car every so often, the subtle cues make all the difference, whilst the low grumble from the exhaust and the willingness to climb in revs is intoxicating.
The highway is where this car lives and breathes; and it really comes alive during highway overtakes.

One of the reasons I had chosen this specific car was that the intake manifold and oil housing gasket had already been replaced prior to purchase. Additionally this was the cleanest, untouched S6 for sale and a great deal at the time of purchase.

So far, in the last month; I have been fully feeling the pitfalls of Audi ownership of a car of its age.

The AC took a nose dive, and I'm doing a complete overhaul just to combat any future issues. Compressor, condensor, blower, the hvac valve unit as well as refrigerant sensor.

Also had a couple front parking sensors fail after I bought it, and had to change those to get the parking sensors up and running again.

and then the regular serviceable items that I have performed since ownership, like engine and cabin filters, oil change with 5w40 shell helix ultra.
and then To get rid of a shimmy, I had to replace the front discs and pads and also put on new rubber all the way around. 255/40R18s Hankook ventus s1 evo 3. First impressions of the tire are pretty good, although harsher than the winter set up that was on the vehicle before. Which is to be expected.

so the first month of ownership has been a drain to the wallet, but it was to be expected with a car at this age. You will always have some teething problems in the beginning.

Overall Im very excited about the car and hope the community will be welcoming to this new ride.

The V10 is very special indeed and there will be pics to follow.

plus some other planed projects on the car that I plan to do, like new shock absorbers all around. Im not entirely sure who the original manufacture of the S6 shocks are; and whether its best to go with the Bilstein B8 plus shocks, or audi oem....or if bilstein made the original shocks anyway.
Any information, thoughts or random musings on the issue are more than welcome.

So Please chime in!
Thanks everyone!
