Shaking/Shuddering at 50+ MPH Audi S6 C7
Hi everyone. I've recently been experiencing shaking/shuttering while driving over 50mph in my 2014 Audi S6. I have my front axel and control arms replaced. I've also tried two different tires on the same aftermarket wheels. Wheels are balanced and have alignment. I had no issues with my OEM wheels and tires. Has anyone had a similar experience/fixes? Thanks!

We had an issue similar. I took the car to three different tire shops. First one twice, second on once, all three times, the shops "rebalanced" the tires. Still never went away. The 3rd shop, took the weights off, ran the wheel on the balancer and found that two of my wheels were bent.
We balanced the wheels the best we could and put the two bent wheels on the rear and the two good ones on the front.
This is just to get us through the year while we are shopping for new wheels and tires.
Maybe this might help.

Maybe wheels are bent? Mine were a few times. They will balance but still wobble because they are bent. I have 2014 S6 with the one 20” five spoke. Also had replaced the same steering components prior and didn’t do anything.

Agree with others. Of all the cars I've owned this car is very sensitive to unbalanced/bent wheels. A lot of patience is required on the balancer. You can also try road force balancing.

I've experienced the same thing (bent wheels, the 20" are REALLY susceptible to bending) and found the following improved it the most:
1) take it to the most reputable shop to best straighten the wheels (they can only heat / straighten so many times)
2) if there is still a slight bend, put the "most bent" wheels on the rear, and the least bent (not bent at all) in the front
3) don't just balance, but Road Force Balance (I think they try to get the "number" below ~10) makes a BIG difference even on a bent wheel
Note: on the Road Force balancing i found that my Michelin Summer Sport tires slightly hardened (rubber material hardened) which made it harder to get the Road Force Numbers low, so i will try new ones soon.
