Hello everyone in this great group, Everytime I mention to people my purchase of a 2021 Audi A8, You must hear someone's opinion concerning Audi's reliability. Reliability depends on the Audi A8 owners keeping up with scheduled maintenace but even with owners doing this cars will still sometime have issues. People that I know that has 2020-2023 Audi A8 loves they their vehicle, I love the drive which is a great balance of performance and comfort. Maintenance can be expensive but if you purchase an S-Class, BMW 7 Series, or and Audi A8 you have to expect a expensive maintenance or repairs, for me it comes along with the class of vehicle. Please let me know your opinion on reliabilty of Audi A8 and what you think about expensive maintenace and repairs and if you feel there is any way around the expensive maintenance and repair. How do you feel about Audi A8 reliability? What have been your personal experience with your Audi? I talk to a friend that has a 2020 Audi A8 and his way of saving money on repairs on his Audi is calling different Audi dealers that is within a 60 mile radius and ask their prices on specific maintenance and repair and compare prices, and this approach has been able to save him money because each dealer have different prices, which works in his favor. He has sometimes save up to 200 dollars. Please let me know what you think on this topic.

The A8's are as reliable as other luxury sedans. My experience has been positive and I always purchase the Audi prepaid maintenance package which will cover the 10k, 20k, 30k, and 40k services at any Audi dealership in the US. The prices are set by Audi and you get a decent discount.

I bought my car used (CPO) 1 year ago. Zero issues except some interior creaks/rattles. I do the basic maintenance by myself and if you can do the same - it will be very cheap.

Thank you for your reply, I wish I did no how to do basic Maintenance by myself. If you do basic Maintenace, does it affect your wanrranty since it was not done by a authorized Audi dealer. I am sure they keep record of maintenance and once they notice there is no record of a oil change. Just curious

I save all receipts for the parts I bought. You are not required to perform maintenance at Audi dealer and it does not affect your warranty in any way. And it's not only Audi. I do the same for Range Rover, and did it for previously owned MB and BMW cars.

Basic maintenance is usually oil/filter change, air filter ( engine and cabin), brakes, spark plugs etc. There is nothing special about any of this stuff that cannot be done if you want to.
