I tried to reprogram the battery using VCDS by changing the serial number by 1 digit but I'm not sure if its coded correctly how would i be able to check?

What are the actual error codes for 19-gateway (fault codes - 02) ? If there's no error codes, that looks very odd. Never seen that. What is the p/n in the adaptation channel 004? You have VCDS, so go to applications and then history data, pull the history data for 19 into a CSV and post that text.
