John:

I know, cannot understand why Audi would not cover the repair cost, like you mentioned, disturbing on a 2022 (MY) car/engine. I think I might try and locate the cooling schematic and check all the fittings/connections of the entire coolant system, shouldn't be too bad.

He said in the video that a coolant hose popped off and it was determined to not be related to a manufacturing defect.

Obviously there's more to the story since an engine doesn't instantaneously overheat the moment a coolant hose pops off.

Plus, there was some significant wear marks on the some of the bearing surfaces meaning, they could have driven a good amount until shutting the engine down.

He also said in the video that this was a new car with temp tags still on it when it happened. It's just that the back and forth between Audi and client had been going on for some time so the engine only just became available.

edit - blown head gasket. I wonder if they put a sketchy tune on it that cranked up the boost as soon as they bought it and then took it to a track
