Yesterday, after passing through the Mr. Car Wash, which I noted had installed all-new brushes, while drying and vacuuming, my wife noticed the black plastic cover of the rear hatch wiper pivot was missing. I asked the attendant could it be found? She shut down the line, went through the drain filters and found the cover. It was undamaged and clipped right back on. Since one is unlikely to be so lucky next time, it's either remove the cover before going through the wash or as one really should, go back to hand washing.

Glad they found it!
make sure you didn’t lose the washer spray nozzle, it’s just a friction fit and doesn’t take much to remove it if the cover is off (it’s removable so that you can clean it if gets clogged

I've noticed that some car washes actually wrap the rear wiper to prevent this problem from occuring.
