Since AT&T’s 3G turndown No Audi App
Greetings All,
I own a 2017 Q7 3.0T, and I really would like to use the Audi phone app for my vehicle again. As I understand it, since AT&T shutdown 3G service, my year vehicle can no longer fully communicate with the app as it uses cellular. I would like to get back to using Audi connect CARE’s SOS and emergency call feature, online roadside assistance, Audi Service Request, and Audi incident assistance, remote lock and unlock, vehicle status report, and stolen vehicle locator, etc.
So my question is, has anyone done an Upgrade to solve this issue on our gen Q7, if so what exactly needs to be changed/upgraded, and how much was the cost? (Outside of the dealership of course) Can this be done without having to do any crazy tricking of the ecu? I do use ODIS, VCP, and VCDS for any adaptation or coding needs. Any and all help/info is greatly appreciated. If it makes sense I may make it a summer project. Thank You in advance.
