is it me, or has the signal to noise ratio dropped on AW?
Over the summer, it seems that people are posting info which is unreliable at best, not to the point, or just plain wrong.
Take the battery voltage thread from today. The guy asks a VERY simple question, how much voltage should a fully charged battery show? out of 22 replies so far, I think Just dave and I were the only ones to have the same answer in the right range. Other answers range (so far) from a little above 12 to 14.4.

what... you mean posts like this?
I see a lot of people complaining about stuff, but I think the content here is fine. Do you expect absolutely 100% correct, on topic information all the time, especially in a community type forum like this? If so, I'd recommend you get off the internet.

People want to participate - you don't want to stop that.
There will always be the experts as the small % of participants.
God knows I have been wrong numerous times...I try to either backup my answer with other data, state that I am not positive but..., don't answer at all, or just give a wise-a$$ remark (which is fun too).

Of course I have. It just doesn't bother me. Some people have left, some have showed up.
Some contribute, some don't. I think that if you own an A4 you have every right to post here, whether you know what you're talking about or not.
Basically, I don't come to this forum for *just* information about my car... I like a lot of the people that post here, even if the subject has nothing to do with A4s or even cars.
