Default Went for a drive, shut engine off, couldn't start back up :( won't even crank, so probably battery?

what can I do about this? I just got a new battery 4 months ago with higher crank amps since the car is from California. I'm not really fluent in mechanics so I don't really know what to make of my search results. This can't just be what TTs in the cold have to deal with, right? I haven't had time to check battery cables and fuses yet. Anything I should look for? I have a long drive home this week, I hope we'll make it. Thanks for any input.

You could start by checking the battery

Default I got a bad battery, but mine crapped out within two weeks. 4 months seems like a long time.

But you should start by checking the voltage of the battery at the terminals. Anything less than 13.5 is suspect. You can also check the voltage at the alternator on the HVAC if you can get 'er running again.

I'm like a battery expert now (yeah right!).

It's okay, your answer still applies even if you read the whole post.
