Hey,
I'm trying to put a trim piece on on the passenger front door and am having some trouble. I've got all of the clips in place and i know you just open the door and slide it in from the rear forward, but the last bolt thing closest to the fender is messin me up. I think it's supposed to go into the threaded brass piece on the trim piece, but it doesn't fit. The part that's welded to the door isn't threaded like the trim piece is. How is this done? Thanks!

crap...there's the pins that the clips are attached to...
and the last one up front is something other than a pin that lines up to the threaded part on the molding. If this is different than your car, I guess I'll have the body shop put it on. I just thought I'd be able to do it myself, but it looks like they changed something on my car. I wish I had a digicam to show you what i'm talking about. It's like a hex shape...anyway, it's obviously different. Thanks.

How did the old one come off?
Look inside the door at the front edge. Do you see a phillips headed screw?
I wonder if insert came out of the molding and is still attached to the screw. If so ,just hold the insert with pliers and remove the screw. Reinstall into new molding.

it came off when the body shop took it off...
They were waiting for the clips which took forever and I took the piece home. I told them that I'd install it myself since everything else they did was wrong. I'll take a look at the inside of the door tomorrow to see if there's a screw in there still. I hope so, otherwise it's back to the shop. I'll post to let you know. Thanks
