Default timing/boost help needed

I logged load, timing, requested boost and actual boost this morning. It was 58 degrees. Can someone please tell me if this looks normal and explain why or why not. I'm not sure what "normal" looking timing should look like. Thanks for any help

Default Your timing is fine...

...is it chipped? If so, that is pretty light on the requested boost.

For future reference, it helps to data log in third or fourth, preferably up a hill so that we can see what the car is doing after 5 seconds of 100% demand. These little blips tell me nothing useful.

Default Like what Mike O said, I found using datalogging several blocks once with VagCom useless.

I like VWTool better for datalogging. You do one datablock at a time(for better sampling rate) and it has a viewer capable of comparing and analyize data. Use 3rd or 4th gear and go WOT from say 1500rpm to redline to get a complete picture of what's going on.

Looks like your highest requested boost is .8 bar? I thought you have a K04??? What you want to see is how much timing is when your actual boost is at max. I think VagCom and VWTool has different ways of representing timing as well.

Can you log it with VWTool?

Default Vag-Com can do one block at a time..

The sample rate should be at least as good as VWTool this way. Although I haven't logged any data in a while with either tool so I don't remember what kind of sample rates I was getting. Frankly I never compared them.

I agree that with built-in graphing VWTool still has the edge in this area...

Default Yes I know that. I was suggesting that he log one block at a time.

Even with that I think the sampling rate is too low. APR has their own software that supposedly has a sampling rate that is 10x that of both VAGCOM and VWTool. I wish they would market something like that.
