spring(?) groaning in rear... dealer can't diagnose... SUGGESTIONS?

spring(?) groaning in rear... dealer can't diagnose... SUGGESTIONS?
My 2000 A4 2.8 Quattro has had this creaking coming from the rear wheel wells when I go over sloping bumps, like speed bumps or short ramps, etc. Clair Audi (West Roxbury, MA) hasn't been able to diagnose and repair it.
On the real warm or wet days, it goes away. Has anyone else had this problem?
