Took her out on a spririted drive...now she's squeaking...
I took the long way home from gf's house just now. It's wet and drizzling. Just got her ('98 2.8QM) a few weeks ago and went to test her out on open, empty streets. Checked out the quattro, got the ABS activated a few times, did a few 0-60 sprints. On the way home, I noticed a squeaking that appeared now and then. Kind of like my old car when the brakes would not release and dragged on the rotor. Anybody have a clue what this could be? Is she telling me something...stop abusing me?

Pads contacting the rusty area on the rotors.
It's a PITA, and apprenetly terminal in my car. It pissed me off for 40,000 miles before I finally gave up and bought the APR Stage 3 brake kit.
It's one of the defects on the list for my lemon lawsuit against Audi. Replacement of the pads and rotors helps for a while, butit's always come back on my car.

Over every single imperfection in the road......
my car sounded like a freaking sewing machine. It had gotten so bad after a ercent track event that it was a constant squeal whenever the car was in motion, UNLESS I was on the brakes.
