Bose radio controls out of whack - dealer says 2 to 3 months wait for part... (m)
The service rep at my dealer, who was very nice, said that all Audi's with the new radio are experiencing this problem. The tone controls (bass, mid, treble, balance, fade) go completely whacko seemingly at random.
I've heard other people on the board mention this problem. It's not the end of the world, just means I have to check the controls every now and again. Dealer freely admitted the problem and put me on a list for the part.
Otherwise, I've been extremely happy with my car (and the dealer). 2000 miles and counting....

Don't ask me what they did, but my dealer fixed mine via a VAG tool...
I wouldn't believe it myself, but they plugged in and recoded the radio. Now everything works perfectly. I haven't plugged in my VAG-COM to compare my radio coding to other S4's though, to tell what they changed.

I've been planning on looking into it in more detail when I get a chance...
Unfortunately I have to borrow a notebook computer from a friend to do it -- I own the cable but not the computer. I'm hoping to give it a shot next week.
