First trip for dealer service coming up - questions!!
Also, here's my list. Anyone have similar problems, and are some of these, in your opinion(s), just too bitchy to bring up?
1. Blown right rear speaker
2. Driver's seat wobbles on weight transfer transients such as launch
3. Strange warbling sound from engine at about 2500RPM
4. Bose radio weirdness (stations, bass, treble)
5. Thwack! sound from rear on some suspension transients
6. Dash rattle
7. Rattle in B pillar right behind my ear
8. Loose shift ****
9. Harsh clutch engagement sometimes on release
I am also going to have them inspect the oil supply seals on the turbos (someone here in Austin recently had one fail) and the washer reservoir (another common failure point)
What think?
Thanks,
2) They will likely say the seat is "within tolerances." Search the list - the problem is not unique to your vehicle. IMHO, it's because the seat motors aren't strong enough to restrain the seat movement via the worm gears.
4) Universal problem with the "Symphony" radio. I'm not sure if there is a real fix, but one I've seen here is to always turn off the radio before you turn off the car.
5,6,7) Sound normal, as my wife's A4 does similar things, but it never hurts to have them check it.
As far as the washer reservoir, just use your washers with the headlights on; if your reservoir doesn't then drain itself in a day or two, you're probably fine...
