Default Service manual to take out the back parcel shelf.

I want to work on getting my rattles to go away. But I can't find anywhere online that has them. Thanks in advance.

I need some help with this too lol. I've taken my car in twice for the rattle and every time it comes back, seems worse now that its getting colder. Dealer doesn't seem to be of any use for this, anyone have any suggestions?

+1, but for the front door cards (specifically driver side). Thankfully my rear shelf is rattle-free.

Mines has been at the dealer since Wednesday for the rear deck (sounds like a click/clunk actually coming from the middle of the seat/deck), and passenger side door rattle. At least the lead tech and the service adviser heard the noise. SO FRUSTRATING.

Drives me crazy.

msinger - does it sound like a 'creak'? Mine sounds like a 'creak' and it comes and goes seemingly based on the temperature/humidity. Sometimes I hear nothing and sometimes it comes back. Frustrating indeed. Mine was in the shop for two weeks a few months ago as they pointed to a rivet behind the rear seat frame that they say should have been welded. It seems to have helped, but the 'creak' still returns from time to time.

Less of a creak.....and does not seem affected by temperature. I would say more of a rattle. Thought it might be the cup holder or the arm rest. Nope. I sounds more metallic to me.....but at this point I am losing my mind.......so my gut was something in the rear deck. Apparently there is a TSB for the rear window glass clips....but for some reason the dealer hasn't tried that yet. Driving a new A4 loaner.......better throttle response and no lag. Kind of nice putting miles on someone else's car. Will let you know what they find. Passenger side rattle is also annoying.....could be the power seat control switches or something in the door. Not sure. This is my third S4 and 7th Audi........very frustrated. My 2015 B8.5 was rock solid after 77K. First world problems.

Could be the spot welds on the D pillar. We have been seeing LOTS of them come in with missing spot welds

Really? I assume that you work for an Audi dealer or are a tech. How do i credibly get this information to my dealer? Do dealers share information like this?

What is being done to fix/repair the missing welds?
