Im sorry, I have to bring up what Scorch said earlier about the Race with an M5.....
I raced my buddy (M5) last night from the light. Dead stand still, I had the hole shot (obviously). In fact he was seeing my tail lights till 5th gear. I don't have APR Stage 2. I have GIAC "X" and SuperSprint Cat back. I also mentioned this last Monday night that we did the 60mph roll and I was with him till 110. Im 212lbs and he is 150lbs, if you want to be technical. The M5 is a beast, I will most certainly admit, but it really has nothing over the Modded S4. It will take me on the top end come the middle of 5th into 6th gear.
If I had the money, I can't lie, I would get the M5. Only because I can haul my car hopper friends and my family and have everyone comfy and still have my fun too! =) Also, if that is the case with the M5, Im going to have to take the challange from my other buddy who just got the M3!!

My Bro has got an M5, we've never really had a good clean race..
I tell you this much, he'd have a really hard time getting away from me. From a rolling start I pulled away from him but he had a bad launch. On a green light, he got a better start but I pulled up on him in second gear. Both times he was pretty surprised how well I kept up with him, or beat him.
We've also been on the track together. I have much more track experience than he does, plus I have tires and brakes. Despite his abundace of horses he still had to wave me by. Then again, the M5 is not really a track car, too big.
If all things were equal, I do believe the M5 would have a slight advantage overall, but not so much that the S4 driver wouldn't be smiling.
