my friend is thinking of buying a 1995 BMW M3. I know many of you have owned M3's... are there any

problems that are notorious for that generation/build year M3. ANY INFO would be great

I think the radiator or something like that, I had a 98 M3. Turboing the 95 is much easier

Good year minus some glitches. Biggest plus is it still is OBD-I and not II. Light on torque that

year. Would be my first choice.

I think the heater cores still had problems then. Don't want to have that thing puke all over you... been there. What a PITA.

I had a 1995 BMW M3

Only problems were electrical annoyances for me. Windows dont go up right sometimes. Had to replace cd changer a couple of times. Other than that was perfect.

Water pump with old platic impeller should have been replaced.

Most owners of the '95 have already done this as preventive maintenence or because it failed. It's a good question to ask the seller though.
