Does anyone know if the European version of the E46 M3...
is having the same problems with the engine as the NA version. I have a friend with a 2002 E46 M3 and he wants to supercharge it. I am trying to tell him that he should wait until this problem with the engines grenading is fixed by BMW.

yikes...that motor is way too high strung to be supercharged
I hope he has the cash to buy a new motor, because I doubt BMW would be very happy to warranty a supercharged car witha blown motor.
I haven't hear a thing about the Euro cars having problems, so who knows...but it would still be pretty damn risky.
