Well hoping to put some rumors to rest.....an alignment is not needed after..........
new suspension is correctly installed. Got mine aligned today after three weeks with the H&R/Bilstein setup. I was found to be in perfect alignment already. Thank-god I did'nt have to pay because I have a 3/yr unlimited alignment deal .... :-)......but for those who have to pay Audi I hope this helps. Note..... this was on a car that had already been aligned a month before the install.

It all depends.
The problem on the s is that camber which is ussually the most signifacant allignment factor is not adjustable. You can only compensate from side to side so assuming the camber is set then once you lower the car the camber will change but will still be equal on both sides which is as good as it gets unless you change to adjustable cpp links. The only thing that could really be affected by lowering is toe and caster. Also you want to make sure that they check the allignment after the new suspension has had some time to settle properly
