Default NEWBIE Hella Supertone Project. Need "A" Chip too.

Being disappointed with the stock blarers in my 2k S4 I decided to get a pair of the larger (118dB) Supertones, and played Rube Goldberg last night, yoking them with a metalstrap around the front fan cross-brace, hanging them down next to the fan. Had to extend the OE cutaway of the bumper notch for access, but they hang nicely (ahem).
Now HOW TO WIRE THEM IN? I can't for the dickens find easy access to the horn wiring...nor the button switch wiring, so unless you magicians make this easy I'll just use that extra switch space on the dash and wire up a pushbutton switch into a relay and hotwire the Hellas directly off a convenient underutilized accessory somewhere (any favorites?). At least then I can alternate between normal city-civilized vs highway get-outta-the-way-stupid-ute modes, albeit having to move a hand over to the dash.
I've done a "horn" search, but to no avail except to see that "racoon" damaged expose of the left-side buried horn location.
Also...deal fell through on chipped A box. Anybody got a GIAC/MTM/APR "A" for sale? I'll chase 710N and IK22 in the meantime, right?
Thanks, guys....Ernie

Default I had those and put the stockers back in. They sounded crappy IMHO. Remove the front bumper for...

easy access to both horns. I may try a Ferrari horn one of these days.

Default And I'm just about to head to the Shack for a switch!

Aargh! When I test 'em they do seem LOUD! And I agree that the 500 Hz one (C above middle C) is cheesily bright, but the 300Hz (middle D) is growly enough to be assertive. Maybe I'll be able to toggle between them on the highway and effect a fake emergency vehicle effect and get those SUV's outta the passing lane here up in New England. Did you have the 118dB 300+500Hz duo or the slightly smaller 113dB diferent frequency pair (which sound different, as well as are quieter)?
