what are upper links? i suposedly need 4
hey guys i got my invoice back from the dealer, and it calls for "4 new upper links" i know it has to do with suspension, but i didnt see it in time enough to ask what it was.
on the invoice they are 127$ each fyi

If you need uppers you are soon going to need lowers.

do yourself a favor and buy the whole kit (cheaper than 4 uppers from the dealer) and do it all at once.
The 4 uppers (2 per side) are the arms that extend out from the top of the shock body and attach to the upright holding your wheels in place and guiding them to make the car turn.
If warn they will rattle and allow your wheels to have more "play" and will cause you to have poor handling and wear tires out prematurely

thanks thats the problem...
the tires are perfect, and handeling is great they told me i need 4, and its all BS, im taking it to another dealership for them to look at it.
i appreciate your help!

Well a good way to check is to jack up the car slightly until the tire clears and try to tug....>
left and right on the wheel. If it wobbles and/or you hear clicking... the joints are going. Another sign of needing to be replaced will be torn rubber boots around the ball joints.
It could be the case that they are going but not really to the point of causing any real problems.
Still something to look into.
