Default 2.7 despond

Of the 20 days I have owned my new 2.7, the last five have been spent in the service department while they try and find what sounds like a loose bolt that swings in an arc in the dash in front of the steering wheel. Probably not the bolt that holds the steering wheel on, but disconcerting nonetheless.

Any ideas as my car slouches toward a 50/50 driving/service ratio?

Default Sorry....

I sorry to hear you are having a rough time. I got my Audi 2.7T with no problem at all and now have 952 miles on it. If your dealer is anything like Rod East Audi down here in Texas you should be in tip top shape in no time. Trust me when I say it only gets better.

Default My 4.2 in the first three weeks encountered...

1) a vibration buzz in the headliner - fixed with a thin strip of felt and adhesive at the dealer.

2) broken oil pressure switch causing small oil leak - fixed with the installation of a new switch at the dealer.

Since I've never had a problem only a ton of smiles!!

Don't fret, these problems happen to all manufacturers. People who say not, don't know. That's why service is so very important. I trust my dealer, I just wish they were closer to work or home (30 miles away).

I too had a head liner noise which I investigated and corrected myself with a little silicone on a rag.

I now have a seat squeak which the same approach will no doubt solve.

Otherwise this car has been flawless!

My seat squeak turned out to be the seat belt latch. All I need to do is give it a bend towards the rear and it does not squeak against the seat.

Default buzz after waxing

Chrisls, I have the buzz by my ear from the headliner area when driving. It went away after some time as it worked itself out. I think it was from the first time that I waxed it. Then it returned the day after waxing the car a second time with zymol. I am sure it is in the rubber door seal areas. What type of silicone did you use and where did you apply it? Was it on the door seals or somewhere else?

P.S. I also got a sunroof seal sound from the waxing.
